Public engagement

The Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes (ANVUR) defines Public Engagement as the "set of organized activities at an institutional level by a University, through its dedicated structures, in a no-profit attitude, with an educational goal, within a perspective of social development and cultural enhancement, to engage with a non-academic audience".

The Department of Management carries out Public engagement activities and projects to strengthen dialogue and interaction among University, industry and society.

Learn about Public engagement on our Italian website.

The Public engagement activities are part of the so-called Third Mission, which has become a significant policy concern in recent years. The Third Mission has assumed an increasingly crucial and strategic role in dealing with the territory and the society.

Third Mission in universities seeks to generate knowledge outside academic environments to the benefit of social, cultural and economic development.
